FOLEY, AL — Daphne’s winning streak over Foley is still going strong.

The Daphne Trojans scored nine points in the final 25.8 seconds to rallly and hold on for a 32-24 win over the Foley Lions on Friday night. More than 6,000 fans converged on Foley High School to witness that game that’s part of the 2013 Great American Rivalry Series presented by the U.S. Marine Corps and Hibbett Sports.

Foley hasn’t beaten Daphne since a 16-14 win in 2007. And since 1992, Daphne holds an 18-6 edge in the all-time series.

The Trojans led 23-2 at halftime but needed a 32-yard field goal by Dominick Brisolara with 25.8 seconds left to reclaim a 26-24 lead. Kareem Brown then returned an interception 50 yards on the final play of the game.

Zack Morgan completed 12 of 24 passes for 198 yards and two scores and he ran for a another score for the Trojans. DeMarcus Bingham — who is being recruited by the likes of Auburn, Alabama and Cincinnati — caught eight balls for 151 yards and a TD.

Foley (2-1) hosts Enterprise next Friday night, while Daphne (2-1) is at Northview the same night.
