Colerain 44, Elder 12 (09/03/10)

September 7, 2010

It was a great night for football in Cincinnati: 68 degrees, clear skies and 10,000 football crazy fans for the Colerain Cardinals and the Elder Panthers! The stands were filled to capacity with even more people sitting around the embankment, surrounding the field with a sea of red and purple.

Colerain jumped out early and often in the first quarter and sailed to a commanding early lead. Elder fought back in the second quarter trimming the lead to just 8 points and then the Colerain Express left the station when #30 Curtis Jester exploded.

Score at the half: Colerain 30, elder 12.

Colerain took it to Elder in the second half, holding the Panthers scoreless after the halftime break and rolling to victory in this annual battle. The Cards’ victory snapped a two-year Elder winning streak in the series between the two teams and gave Coach Tom Bolden a big win.

Final score Colerain 44, Elder 12.
