Colerain 49, Princeton 7 (10/17/2014)

October 18, 2014

The Colerain vs. Princeton rivalry started back in 1958 with both teams being historically strong football programs in the greater Cincinnati area. As of late, Colerain has had the upper hand with a much stronger varsity football program so it was obvious to see that the Princeton Vikings were ready to prove everyone wrong and try to pull off the upset at Colerain.

Although the Vikings had the confidence and the desire to beat the Colerain Cardinals it did not relay over into the football field. The Cardinals cam e out of the gate ready to play and put the Vikings in a quick 14-0 deficient in the first quarter. The scoring didn’t stop there either, Colerain kept pushing the ball with a strong running game being game MVP Jeff Christian. At halftime the game was 28-7 with the Cardinals having all the momentum going into the locker room. The second half was much of the same with Colerain running all over the Princeton defense, the Cardinals just never let up leading to a 49-7 win for Colerain.
