Central Dauphin East 20, Harrisburg 19 (10/4/2014)

October 5, 2014

CD East made a powerful comeback to end an exciting back and fourth 4th quarter and come out victorious over Harrisburg 20-19.

These two schools are located right next to each other in neighboring school districts and this game is always competitive. Last year’s game went down to the final possession with the Cougars winning 38-30. Not once but twice in the final two minutes of this Mid-Penn Commonwealth clash did the Panthers, down by five, force a fumble as the host Cougars tried to run out the clock. CD East turned the second turnover into points, too a stunning Harrisburg’s Homecoming crowd with an inexplicable 20-19 victory. Meanwhile, East starting quarterback Jahad Neibauer — who also played a fantastic game at cornerback takes home the game MVP honors. Neibauer was 12-for-23, 104 yards with two TD passes.
