Blanche Ely 28, Dillard 19 – (11/8/14)

November 9, 2014

The Dillard and Blanche Ely game has been a celebrated matchup since the 60’s. This event is referred to as the annual “Soul Bowl”, a battle between two historically African American Schools that were once only allowed to play one another.

Fans arrived at the stadium for what is considered the biggest rivalry in the area. Both teams considered it their most important game outside of the play offs. Dillard came out with the first touchdown and eventually had three more but it wasn’t enough to beat the determined Blanche Ely. Mighty Tigers took the win with a score of 19 to 28.
