2017 Scholar Athletes: Juan Pablo Garcia & Riley Sauceda

From Harlingen High School South, Juan Pablo Garcia

A receiver for the Hawks, Juan maintains a 3.95 GPA and has been on the Honor Roll throughout his high school career. He plans on attending UTSA where he will begin the pre-pharmacy program.

From Harlingen High School, Riley Sauceda

Riley is a two-year starter at slot receiver. He set a school record for receiving yards in a game, with 233 yards on 12 receptions, last month against Mission Veterans. Riley is also an All-District Varsity basketball point guard and a pole vaulter on the varsity track team. He is a member of several student organizations including National Honor Society, the Student Council the PTSA and ELL Peer Support. Riley is also a faithful member of LifeLine Worship Center and plans to attend Rice University in Houston next fall.
