2017 Scholar Athletes: John Bailey Gullatt & Luke Cagle

From West Monroe High School, John Bailey Gullatt

John is an outstanding individual that excels in both the classroom with a 4.0 GPA and on the sports field. He has received multiple honors in football, making the all-district, All-Northeast, and All-State football teams, as well as being the defensive MVP in the Louisiana 5A high school division.

From Neville High School, Luke Cagle

Luke has received numerous outstanding awards on the football and baseball team, while being a state championship winner in both sports. He leads students in the classroom with a 4.449 weighted GPA. He is a pillar among the Monroe community and always strives to help others. Luke plans to attend Vanderbilt or LSU and major in biology that will allow him to become an ear, nose, and throat doctor.
