2017 Scholar Athletes: Ian Briggs & Nick Florio

From Toms River North High School, Ian Briggs

Ian Briggs is a 2-year starter and letterman for the Toms River North Mariner football team and is also on the lacrosse team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, TEAM and the Spanish Club. He also is an active member of “Lacrosse for Autism” and this summer went to Nicaragua to volunteer on a pet project. Upon graduation, Ian plans to study medicine.


From Toms River South High School, Nick Florio

Nick is the starting center and guard for the football team, while ranking in the top 13% of his class and taking advanced placement courses to challenge himself. Nick also competes on the winter and spring track team, and is also an active member of the Key Club and currently involved with raising money for breast cancer awareness. His collegiate plans include playing football and majoring in business and law.
