2017 Scholar Athletes: Christopher Alexis Galaz  & Tony Samaniego

From Douglas High School, Christopher Alexis Galaz

Christopher is a 3-year letterman on the varsity football team. In 2015 he was MVP and in 2016 he was offensive player of the year. Also in 2014, he was offensive player of the year for basketball. Next year he plans to pursue and criminal justice degree.

From Bisbee High School, Tony Samaniego

Tony has been a 3-year starter for the Bisbee football program. The 6’2” 190lb senior is expected to have a big season under center for the Pumas and is a multi-purpose defender who is expected to start at DE. Not only is Tony a great student and football player but he is also a strong leader and is one of pumas captains this year.
