2017 Hall of Fame Inductees: Wayne Marino & Matt Poblocki

From Lancaster High School, Wayne Marino

Wayne wore # 24 for Lancaster and played running back. In 1971, Wayne rushed for 230 yards and scored 3 touchdowns in route to a victory over Depew. Wayne has been a local business man in the community, and has been an avid supporter of every Lancaster football team throughout his entire life. Wayne thanks the Lancaster community for this honor.

From Depew High School, Matt Poblocki

The 2014 Depew Wildcats limped into the Rivalry Game after losing six starting positions to injury the week before. Matt Poblocki, running behind a patchwork

offensive line, carried the ball 26 times for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. Matt’s outstanding effort not only led the Wildcats to a 13-6 victory, but also earned him MVP honors. Matt became a two-time Division All Star and received Honorable Mention All-Western New York recognition. Matt is currently continuing his education and football career at Buffalo State College.
