2017 Hall of Fame Inductees: Pete Cegerenko & Torey Morris

From Toms River North High School, Pete Cegerenko

Pete graduated from Toms River North in 1997, where he played defensive back and wide receiver. Pete participated in three (3) North-South games and was a member if the 1997 Mariners that captured the Gr. IV South Jersey State Football Championship. During his time at Toms River North, he caught 95 passes and scored 16 touchdowns. Upon graduation, Pete accepted a scholarship to Northeastern University where he played four (4) years.

 

From Toms River South High School, Torey Morris

Torey played in this rivalry game against the mariners for four years from 1995-1998, scoring 6 touchdowns with 18 receptions, and 365 yards of offense. His senior year, Torey was named first-team All-Shore and played in the North/South All-State football game as an All-State selection. He was granted an athletic scholarship to East Carolina University to play football. Torey is currently the mental health care director at Life Stages, Incorporated in North Carolina.
