2017 Hall of Fame Inductees: Hayden Shelton & Mason Motley

From Male High School, Hayden Shelton

Hayden played in the Male and Manual rivalry during his final three years. As co-captain of the 2015 team, Haybed led the Bulldogs to a 43-7 win over Manual and an undefeated season and the state title. The Bulldogs were recognized by USA Today and MaxPreps as one of the top 10 teams in the nation.

From Manual High School, Mason Motley

Born the son of former crimson head football coach Mick Motley, Mason grew up understanding the magnitude of the male-manual football rivalry. As Manual’s starting quarterback his sophomore, junior, and senior years, Mason lead the crimsons to three consecutive victories over Male, bringing the barrel home to Manual in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Upon graduation from Manual, Mason went on to play football at Depauw University and is now serving as student assistant coach for the Tigers, managing the outside linebackers and special teams.
