2017 Hall of Fame Inductees: Frank Atchsam & Ray DeLeon

From Harlingen High School South, Frank Atchsam

Frank was a part of the first two wins that Harlingen South had in the Bird Bowl. As an offensive guard, he helped pave the way to victory in 1998 & 1999. His senior year, Achtsam was named first team All-District, first team All-Valley, first team all-area and second team all-state. He has been an assistant football coach at South since 2006.

 

From Harlingen High School, Rey DeLeon

Rey was a two-year starter and captain for the ’93 & ’94 Cardinals and played in the first two Bird Bowls. Named to the all-district and All-Valley teams, he helped lead the Cardinals to a district championship and a trip to the state quarterfinals. He is now the co-Defensive Coordinator for the Cardinals.
