2017 Hall of Fame Inductees: Brandon Jones & Ju Parks

From Nacogdoches High School, Brandon Jones – award presented to Bobby Reyes, Head Coach

Brandon played in this rivalry all four years of high school. In 2013, his interception put the winning points on the board to defeat Lufkin for the first time in 22 years. He was also an integral part of the team his junior year helping the team win back-to-back games in the rivalry for the first time since 1935. Brandon now attends the University of Texas where he starts at safety for their football team.

 

From Lufkin High School, Ju Parks

Ju Parks played in the rivalry series three years during high school helping lead his team to three consecutive victories in the series. His fourth down stop against Spring Westfield in the state semifinals in 2001 launched the Panthers into the state championship game, where he played a pivotal role in securing the 2001 state championship for Lufkin. He is now a member of Lufkin ISD and is still shaping the lives of future Panthers.
