2016 Scholar Athletes: Henry J. Sauviac & Steven Gabriel Voorhies

Henry J. Sauviac

Josh is a 4-year player and a 3-year letterman on the varsity football team as a defensive tackle. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, serving as the executive aid. Josh represented Jesuit in district rally in biology and Spanish. This summer he put in more than 100 hours of service at Anna’s place, a camp dedicated to enhancing the lives of New Orleans unprivileged inner-city children. Josh hopes to attend Vanderbilt University or The University of North Carolina and eventually pursue a career in medicine.



Steven Gabriel Voorhies

Steven has attended Holy Cross for 8 years. Steven is a member of the National Honors Society and the Peer Ministry team. He is also a member of the Holy Cross Varsity Soccer Team. Steven has earned High Honors while at Holy Cross and currently has a weighted GPA of 4.52. Steven plans to further his education by studying environmental engineering. He is the son of Steven and Gabriela Voorhies.
