2016 Scholar Athletes: David Redding & Brayden Burbrink

David Redding

David will be a three-year varsity letterman and is expected to be a two-year letterman in varsity wrestling. Last season, David was chosen for the Class 6A All-State team by the Associated Press, Class 6A Junior All-State by the Indiana Football Coaches Association and first-team all-conference Indiana. He also was a regional qualifier in the 285-pound weight class in wrestling. David is a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He plans to attend Western Michigan University and major in Civil Engineering.


Columbus East

Brayden Burbrink

Brayden is a 2-year letter winner for the East Olympian Football squad. He was a valuable member of the 11-1 2016 Hoosier Hills Conference championship Football Team. Brayden has a 4.17 GPA and ranks 8th out of 374 in his graduating class. Off of the football field he is a member of the Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society and serves as an Ambassador at Columbus Signature Academy. Brayden will attend Purdue University next fall and major in Pre-Veterinarian Science.
