2016 Hall of Fame Inductees: Vince Carducci & Christian Lopez

October 14, 2016

Vince Carducci

In 2010, Vince led the Basic Wolves to a third straight victory over Green Valley, something that had never been accomplished in the history of the rivalry. In that game, Vince accounted for 199 yards of offense and scored two touchdowns. In the final moments of the game, with Basic trying to run out the clock, he took the ball and headed for the first down. As he reached out for the first down he injured his knee but in the process secured a victory for the Wolves. He truly gave everything he had for the victory in this rivalry and that is why we nominated him for the Henderson Bowl Hall of Fame.

Christian Lopez

Christian Played 3 years in the Henderson Bowl as our quarterback. During that time Green Valley won each of those games. Christian played a vital role in those wins with his ability to run and pass the ball. One of his best attributes as a player is his ability to extend plays and get the ball down field to open receivers. In the last two years playing in the Henderson Bowl Christian completed 73% of his passes for almost 500 yards, 6 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing. Christian is currently playing football in Arizona, so accepting this award is Emir Lopez.
