2016 Hall of Fame Inductees: Tony Anderson & Ryan Pollard

Tony Anderson

Tony Anderson played in the Arlington vs. Martin rivalry game his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. As captain of the 2003 team, Tony led the Colts to an 8-4 record that included a trip to the area round of the playoffs. In the AHS vs. Martin contest, Tony rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown that helped lead the colts to a 38-14 victory. Tony went on to play running back at Northwest Missouri State and later completed his college career playing at Baylor University. He is accompanied tonight with his wife, Leslie, and his three children, Anthony, Apollo, and Aurora.



Ryan Pollard

Ryan earned first team all-District 34-5A accolades at corner and was named an honorable mention all-state punt returner. Ryan was also named to the first team DFW Superteam as a defensive back and was twice named the Dallas Morning News Defensive Player of the Week. Ryan made 80 tackles with four interceptions, seven pass breakups and a pair of fumble recoveries as a senior. Ryan made 137 career tackles with six interceptions in his high school career. Ryan went on to play at Rice University where he helped the Owls earn their first conference championship in over 50 years. Ryan is currently the defensive backs coach at Martin and also coaches track.
