2016 Hall of Fame Inductees: Fred Talley & Greg Ward

Greg Ward

Greg graduated at the top of his class in 2013. He was a three year letterman football varsity player, a four year letterman track and basketball player,He received a full football scholarship to the university of Houston. Greg was up for the Heisman for the 2015 season and received the Earl Campbell player of the year award for 2016, he was also on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2016.



Fred Talley

Longview High has had many great running backs in its 107 year of LHS football. One of the greatest running back was Fred Talley. Fed holds several rushing records at Longview an is also the third all time at LHS in career rushing Touchdowns at 38. After graduating in 1999, Fred took his talents to the University of Arkansas were he rushed for 2,661 yards and 11 touchdowns in three varsity seasons. Longview High is proud to nominate Fred Talley for this honor as part of the Great American Rivalry.
