2015 Scholar Athletes – Tim Petersen & Devin Murray

Toms north SA

Tim Petersen, Toms River North

Senior football letterman with the highest GPA is offensive tackle Tim Petersen. Tim is a 3 year starter for the Mariners and plans on playing football in college while pursuing a degree in engineering.

Tom south SA

Devin Murray, Toms River South

Devin is a 2 year starter for the Hitting Indians. He is a lineman on both sides of the ball…defense and offense. He plays with SPIRIT, PRIDE, and HEART and is a positive factor on the team. School activities include the following: Vice-President of the Student Body, Treasurer of the Class of 2016, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse. Outside of school, he serves as an assistant coach for the Junior Pee Wee Toms River Raider American Youth Football team. His future plans are to either attend the University of North Dakota, Clemson, or the University of South Carolina and major in business with a concentration in accounting.
