2015 Scholar Athletes – Rico Dowdie & Jesse Rackley

Rico Dowdie, AC Reynolds

Rico is a 3-year letterman on the varsity football team and the varsity basketball team.  He has been an all-conference selection in both sports and was a MAC conference offensive player of the year in 2014.  Rico plans to continue his education in college as well as his football career, he is currently undecided.

Jesse Rackley, Asheville High

Jesse is a member of the YMCA’s Leaders club, and has recorded over 100 hours in the past year. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is top 20 in his class. Jesse has completed two internships at the prestigious Mission Hospital and plans on attending Med School one day.
