2015 Scholar Athletes – Sam Martino & Rasheed Henderson

Sam Martino, St. Pius X

Rasheed will be a 4 year lettermen in football and a two year lettermen in track at Center High school. Rasheed plays right tackle and defensive end in football and throws shot put and discuss in track. Rasheed is a leader in our school classroom and hallways, always setting a good example for other students around him. Other activities, Rasheed is a youth leader at the HOPE Center and is greatly involved in church activities. Rasheed plans to attend college to obtain a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Rasheed Henderson, Center 

A four year starter for the Center Yellowjackets, Alex played some of his finest games vs. The St. Pius Warriors. On defense, Alex averaged 10 tackles each game and also racked up two interceptions and two forced fumbles during the rivalry. On offense, his junior and senior year Alex combined for over 250 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns. Center’s 2010 Homecoming King. Alex graduated with a Major in Psychology and a minor in communications from Northwest Missouri State University in the spring of 2015 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in education from Northwest Missouri State University. With hopes to someday be the Superintendent of Schools at Center!
