2015 Scholar Athletes – Luke Stegmaier & Carson Imes

Luke Stegmaier, Fort Hill High School

Luke has been a member of the football team at Fort Hill the past 4 years. Last year, Luke was named to second team all-area and was part of the 2014 State Championship Team. In the spring, Luke is a member of the track team where he runs sprints. Last year, he won the state championship as a member of the 4×100 relay team. Luke is also a member of the Unified Bocce Team where he plays on a team with students with special needs. In the Community, Luke plays church basketball for Second Baptist.

Luke is a member of the National Honor Society and the 1800 club. Luke has been honored as the top student in AP Government, Honors Modern World Cultures, AP Biology, and AP English Language. Luke has bounced between first and second in his class out of 155 students.

Luke is interested in majoring in Biology and pursuing a career in the medical field. He specifically dreams to be a geriatrician.

Aleegany SA

Carson Imes, Allegany High School

Carson is currently enrolled in AP human geography and calculus as well as college level English. He is the captain of the football team and a member of the basketball and baseball teams, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society. Carson is an active member of his church, he volunteers at the Union Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army and as an academic tutor. He plans to attend the University of Maryland and hopes to pursue a career in accounting.
