2015 Scholar Athletes – Carter Jessup & Jacob Coughlin

Jacob Coughlin, Grimsley High School

Jacob was a member of the JV Football team from 2012-2013 where he served as Team Captain.
He has been a member of the Varsity Football team since 2013 and served as team captain this year.
Jacob has been a member of the Grimsley Varsity Wrestling team since 2012.
Jacob was awarded the Varsity Wrestling Newcomer Award in 2015, he has been a Scholar Athlete since 2012, an AP scholar, and is a Service Learning diploma candidate.
Jacob serves on the Greensboro Urban Ministries Board of Directors, he is a Starmount Neighborhood Food Drive Organizer, and attended the National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad, ANYTOWN delegate in 2014.
He is a member of the 12th Man Club, a club whose members help to integrate Exceptional Children students into participating in athletic events.
