2015 Scholar Athlete – Gabe Matherly & Eric Day

Gabe Matherly, Daniel Boone High School

Gabe is a 4-year football letterman. He is a member of National Honor Society and HOSA. Gabe plans to attend ETSU to pursue a degree in microbiology. He currently has a 3.8 GPA and will graduate having earned 12 college credit hours.


Eric Day, David Crockett High School

Eric is a 4-year letterman in football and 2-year letterman in basketball. He is currently 7th in TSSAA history for most receptions and is

WJHL Player of the Week and an All-Conference selection.
