Danny Miller, Pisgah High School

Danny played in the Pisgah-Tuscola rivalry his sophomore, junior and senior years. As a senior and quarterback of the 1976 team at Pisgah, Danny helped lead his team to a 14-6 victory over Tuscola and go on to a 13-1 record and a North Carolina State Championship. After high school Danny starred in football at Mars Hill College as an all –conference defensive back. Later, he coached at his alma mater from 1988 to 1995. After earning his masters degree, he became assistant principal where he served in that position from 2001 until retiring in 2011.

Danny’s Motto/ “Be where you are supposed to be, doing what you are supposed to be doing.” Will be forever etched in the memories of all those he worked with.
