Barry Lattimer, Fort Hill High School
Barry Lattimer participated in the Fort Hill vs Allegany rivalry for a total of 31 years as a player, an assistant coach, and then as the head coach of Fort Hill High School. Barry Lattimer played in the Fort Hill- Allegany Rivalry his sophomore, junior, and senior years. All 3 seasons Barry played in the rivalry, Fort Hill prevailed victorious. Barry was an All-State linebacker under his father in 1974. After graduation, Barry played football and earned his degree from Shephard University. After graduation from college Barry returned to Cumberland and was an assistant coach at Fort Hill for 19 years, serving as the coordinator of the defense and strength and conditioning program. He then served as the Head Coach at Fort Hill for 9 years.
Joe Mullan, Allegany High School
Joe Mullan, bruising fullback for the Allegany Campers scored all his teams points in the 1980 homecoming game against city rival Fort Hill winning 13 – 10 and was named Offensive Player of the Game. Mullan was named to the 1979 &1980 All City, All Area, and All CVAL teams. Mullan led the city in scoring with 127 points and sparked Allegany’s undefeated season and winning the Maryland State “B” Championship. He also played in the 1978 State Championship team under tutelage of Jim Refosco.
Joe was awarded a 4 year football scholarship to Glennville State, where his senior year homecoming game scored three touchdowns against West Virginia State and led his team to a 35-14 win.
