Patrick attended Blanche Ely where he played running back and defensive back for the Mighty Tigers. He went on to be recruited by LSU and earned All-American honors.  He was also recognized as the best college defensive back in the country.  He was drafted fifth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2011, where he now plays. He is regarded by some to the the best cornerback in the NFL.
