2014 Hall of Fame – Greg Jerman and Coach Don Brooks

Greg Jerman

 

Greg played in the Franklin/Coronado rivalry game his junior and senior years. Greg was Franklin’s offensive leader for four years and an All-District player his senior year.  He attended Baylor University and was on Baylor’s All-Academic team and an All-Conference player in the Southwest Conference.  He played in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. Following his NFL career, Greg attended law school. Accepting on his behalf tonight are his parents Steve and Donna Jerman.

Coach Don Brooks

 

Coach Brooks was the Head Coach at Coronado for 35 years, coaching in 17 Westside Bowls. His teams won 229 games, competed in 21 playoff games, won 8 Bi-District games and made it to the Texas State Quarterfinals in 1979. He was nominated to be the Texas High School All Star Coach (only Coach ever from El Paso). He also has been nominated to be in the Texas High School Coaches Hall of Fame. He was a great leader of men both on and off the field, and a legendary name in Texas High School Football.
