2012 Scholar Athletes: Spencer Sheets and Justin Mariotti

Spencer Sheets – Graham High School

Spencer is honored to represent his high school and community in receiving this award. He is grateful to be apart of such a wonderful achievement. Spencer Sheets is a three-year letterman in football, a two-year letterman in basketball, and a one-year letterman in baseball. He is currently a captain for the Graham High School football team, and was selected for Player of the Week in the 2011 football season. Spencer was a member of the Junior National Honor Society for three years, a four-year member of the National Honors Society, and a four-year member of the Beta Club. Spencer was awarded the 2010-2011 Citizenship Award from Graham High School. He is an honor role student, leader, and role model for the youth in our community. His future plans are to pursue a degree in sports medicine. He has enjoyed his time at Graham High School, is a proud member of his community, and appreciates the support and love he’s received during his journey from the coaches, teachers, community members, and his family. Spencer hopes to one day return the support, and give back to the community that has been there for him through the years.

Justin Mariotti – Bluefield High School

Justin is a kicker and punter on the football team and carries a 4.11 GPA. He is a 4 year varsity letter winner in football and a 2 year letter winner in baseball. He plans to attend Davidson University and major in civil engineering.
