2012 Scholar Athletes: Elijah Rogers and Taylor Potter

From Hartford High School- Taylor Potter:

Taylor Potter is a 3-year letterman in football and is expected to earn his 3rd letter in basketball at Hartford High School this winter. He is one of the captains of this year’s football team, and is expected to be a leader on the basketball team as well. This season he has been one of the featured running backs in Hartford’s highly regarded ground attack. With the current season not yet completed, Taylor has already been a part of two state championship teams and has been on three varsity teams with a combined win-loss record of 27-2. He has a GPA of over 3.9 and has taken almost exclusively Advanced and AP classes. He is planning to go to college and hopes to study business or finance. His top college choices are University of Rhode Island, Byrant University, and Brown University.

From Rutland High School- Elijah Rogers:

Eli is a 2-yard letterman on the varsity football team and a 3-year letterman in basketball. He plays as a wide receiver and defensive back for Rutland. Eli holds a 100.9 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has applied to a number of Ivy League and NESCAC colleges.
