2012 Hall of Fame: Richard Starowesky and Adrian McPherson

Manatee High School Hall of Fame inductee is Richard Starowesky:

Richard was an unbelievable offensive guard. The Sarasota Tribune went so far as to name him as its 1984 Offensive Player of the Year. He started in both the 1983 and 1984 Manatee vs. Southeast Rivalry game and led Manatee to a 25-1 record during those 2 years. He started 3 years at University of Florida and he currently is a deputy with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and is the school resource officer at Venice High School.

Southeast High School Hall of Fame inductee is Adrian McPherson:

Presently Adrian is in his 5th year of playing quarterback for the Canadian Football League Montreal Alouettes. After graduating from Southeast, McPherson attended Florida State. In the 2000 Rivalry game against Manatee he completed 12 passes for 304 yards and 2 touchdowns helping Southeast to a 48-21 victory over Manatee. Tonight, his parentsare accepting his award on his behalf.
