2012 Hall of Fame: Bill Batewell and Tim Miller

From Sachem North High School- Bill Batewell:

Coach Batewell was an integral part of the Sachem football dynasty, serving as head JV coach for 34 years from 1967-2000. Over that period of time, Coach Batewell helped to develop players that went on to win 6 county championships and 2 Rutgers trophies which are awarded annually to the best team of Suffolk County.

From Sachem East High School- Tim Miller:

Tim was a 2-year, 2-way starting lineman for the East football program where he earned All-Division and All-County honors. Tim was a recipient of the Jame Labue award presented to Suffolk County’s top football Scholar Athlete. Additionally, Tim was a member of the Nation Football Foundation’s Golden 11. Tim was also awarded the prestigious Michael Mignone memorial scholarship as the team’s most outstanding lineman. Academically, Tim graduated 6th out of a class of 650 students and served as senior class president. Tim went on to a very successful career at Johns Hopkins University where he continued his football career starting on the offensive line for all 4 years and earning numerous post season awards.
