2011 Hall of Fame: Cordell Roane and Nick Fleming

Cordell Roane was a 2-time, 1st team All Capital District, All Central Region and All State performer for Varina. He was the 1997 Capital District, Central Region and All Metro Player of the Year. After high school, Cordell accepted a full athletic scholarship to play quarterback for the University of Richmond. In both 1995 and 1997, he led the Blue Devils to Central Region Championships with victories over the Thomas Dale Knights.

Nick Fleming played in the rivalry in 2001 and in the regional championship game, in which he carried the Knights to victory with 28 carries for 135 yards and 1 touchdown. He also was the Central Region leading rusher for a career up until 2006, he now holds the regions 2nd all time leading rusher.
