2010 Scholar Athletes: Peter Delaney and Garrett Johns

From GEORGETOWN PREP High School, the scholarship recipient is Peter Delaney. Peter is a 2-year varsity athlete on both the football and tennis teams. Since arriving at Georgetown Prep, he has always been on the Dean’s List. He carries a GPA of 96.9% while playing WR and DB for Georgetown. He plays on the Oasis music program and is editor of the school newspaper and website. He plans to study engineering in college. He was escorted by his parents Joseph and Ellen.

The winner from GONZAGA COLLEGE High School is Garrett Johns. Garrett plays fullback and linebacker for Gonzaga and carries a 3.9 GPA. He is a three-year letterman on the varsity football team and varsity rugby team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, a regular name on First Honors, and a member of the Gonzaga Dramatic Association. He plans to study pre-med in college and become a doctor. He was escorted by his parents, John and Kimberly.
