2010 Scholar Athletes: Kyle Valliant, Jonathan McLean, and Justin T. Williamson

October 27, 2010

Hampton’s scholarship winner is senior kicker Kyle Valliant, son of Kevin Valliant. In addition to excellence in academics, Kyle is also known for an exceptional work ethic. Although hampered with an illness during the beginning of the season, he has come back as a strong contributor to the team.

Phoebus will be splitting their scholarship between two students. The first is senior Jonathan Josiah Rhoulac McLean, son of Trina and Paul McLean. Jonathan was selected All-District 2nd Team at tackle and honorable mention for offensive/defensive line last season. He is active at Antioch Baptist Church and plans to pursue a college degree in engineering. The other recipient is center/defensive end Justin T. Williamson, son of Christina and Christopher Williamson. Justin is an honor student and a two-year varsity football letterman. He was selected to the 2009 All-District team as a center and recognized as a member of the 2009 Daily Press All-Star Team. Justin plans to major in business and sports management.
