2010 Hall of Fame: Garland Rivers and Jim Letcavits

From McKinley: Garland Rivers
Garland played in the rivalry game three years. In 1982, his senior year, he was named to All County, All State, and All American teams as well as the North/South All Star team. Garland went on to play at the University of Michigan, where he was a four year letterman and a collegiate All American his senior year. He was then drafted by the Detroit Lions.

From Massillon: Jim Letcavits
Jim’s football career began under the leadership of Coach Mather. As a player, Jim helped lead the Tigers to three State Championships. He was selected to the All-County and All Ohio teams and was also selected as MVP of the Ohio North/South Game. Jim went on to play at the University of Kansas and was named All Big Eight Conference twice and honorable mention All-American. In 1958, Jim was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos and played there for six years. He came back to Massillon in 1969 and coached for 27 years! Jim was inducted into the Wall of Champions and Stark County Football Hall of Fame. Jim is the epitome of Massillon Football and is a TRUE TIGER!
