2009 Scholar-Athletes: Colton Moran and Jacob Underwood

Colton Moran is a three-year letterman on the Troy Trojans varsity football team and has a 3.566 cumulative GPA. He is involved with St. Patrick’s Church, Partners in Hope, and the Circles organization, where he provides assistance with special projects for the needy, such as physical arrangements, maintenance, and landscaping. Colton is also involved with the preparation of meals for the less fortunate. His future plans include attending a four-year institution of higher learning to obtain a degree in marine biology. Pictured with Colton are his parents, Michael and Marla Moran.

Jacob Underwood is a three-year letterman on the Piqua varsity football team, receiving the Piqua Scholar Athlete Award three times. Jake has been a member of the All-Conference Academic Team twice and was selected to the Piqua Top 100. He is also involved in Young Life, French Club, Interact Club, Piqua Chamber of Commerce Student Leadership, and the Second and Seven Program. He plans to attend Ohio State University and pursue a degree in pre-law. Pictured with Jake is his mother Roxana Burnside.
