2009 Scholar-Athletes: Austin Anthony and Jordan Patterson

Page High School’s Austin Anthony is a great example of a student-athlete. Not only does he carry a 4.388 GPA, he is also a member of the jazz band, winter band, and Westminster Youth Band. In addition to his positon as kicker with Page, Austin plays golf, tennis, and hockey and is active in his church youth group. He is the son of Eric and Christina Anthony.

Jordan Patterson starts at both center and defensive end for Grimsley. He is a four-year veteran of the varsity football team where he was named “1st Team All Conference” in 2008 as well as serving as co-captain of the Grimsley Whirlies in 2008 and 2009. He was also named “1st Team All Conference–Discus” and Men’s Track MVP in 2008 and 2009. He is a black belt in karate and has also played soccer and basketball. Jordan has a 4.24 GPA and is the son of Bill and Tracy Patterson.
