2009 Scholar-Athletes: Sam Snow and Derrick Adams

Sam Snow is a three-year starter and letterman of the Phoebus varsity football team. He has played both offensive line and defensive line with the intensity of a true Phantom. Sam is a hard-working athlete on the field and a great student in the classroom. His 3.46 GPA is evident of his dedication to his scholastic endeavors. Last year, Sam received an Honorable Mention Award for his athletic accomplishments in the Peninsula District. He hopes to continue his education next year in the college arena.

Derrick Adams is a three-year letterman on the Hampton varsity football team and varsity track team qualifying for regional’s in shot put. He is vice president for Men of Valor, a member of the National Honor Society, and vice president of the Spanish Honor Society. Upon entering college, he plans to major in sports management.
