2009 Scholar-Athletes: Taylor Young and Matt Viles

Taylor Young is a senior offensive and defensive lineman for the Fountain Valley Barons. Not only is he an outstanding athlete he is an excellent student, carrying a grade point average of 3.4. Taylor is a leader on and off the field.

Matt Viles is a another excellent example of a student athlete. He holds a 4.01 grade point average and is the starting quarterback for the Edison Chargers. He does so with great integrity and a high set of morals. He is a two-year starter, having thrown for more than 2,000 yards for each consecutive year, and is a leading candidate for most valuable player of the league. He is the son of Frank and Paula Viles.
