2009 Scholar-Athletes: Marc LaGrande and James Sykes II

Marc LaGrande is a four-year letterman on the San Pedro varsity football team, receving 2nd Team All-Marine League as a sophomore. Marc coaches flag football in his spare time. He plans to attend San Diego State University and pursue a degree in criminal justice.

James Sykes II is the starting cornerback for Banning and a member of the basketball and track teams. He has been on the Honor Roll every year in high school. James is in the top 10% of his class and plans to attend Arizona State University.
