2009 Scholar-Athletes: Josh Burandt and Alex Longi

Josh Burandt is a defensive back with Moeller and two-year varsity football letterman for the Fighting Crusaders. He has a 4.0 GPA and has maintained first honors every quarter. Josh is also school president, treasurer of the National Honor Society, and a member of the Northeast Community Challenge Coalition where he does community service. He plans to major in business in college. He is pictured with his parents, Scott and Anne.

Alex Longi is a senior tight end for St. Xavier and has a 94.21% grade-point average. He has lettered in football, basketball and lacrosse, and is also a National Merit Semi-Finalist and member of the National Honor Society. Alex works part-time at Romulado’s Custom Clothier and volunteers for the school Writing Center. He plans to study finance in college. He is pictured with his parents, Tony and Kim.
